Level: Controls overall Volume of the Pedal
Tone: Controls High Frequencies
Fuzz: Controls amount of Fuzz/Gain
Mud: Changes the characteristic of the Fuzz

For best sound with a Germanium fuzz, use an older (Not newest switching power supply) Toroidal transformer Power Supply (Electro-Harmonix, Dan-Electro, Boss, Etc.) Or good quality isolated power-supply, No 9V battery slot inside, use external 9v battery plug adapter
