Form Factor Audio Custom Shop made this bass for you! Sore-shouldered bassists can tell you that fighting “neck dive” from a poorly balanced instrument is akin to slow torture. It’s just not healthy.
The popular choice for most bass guitars is Eastern European Alder, known for its strong, clear full-bodied sound, with beefy mids, excellent lows, and aggressive singing high notes, along with light-weight Silver Populus (Aspen), and Northern European Ash.
DUAL TRUSS ROD SYSTEM
There are a lot of basses on the market with a tendency to have weak neck binding structures due to strong string tensions. For this reason, to maintain neck stiffness and stability, two Titanium rods are applied to all Form Factor Audio bass guitars. We call this Dual Truss rod system Double Titanium Reinforcement Rods.
TUSQ NUT
The nut is one of the most important parts of the bass that influences the performance, playability, and tone of the instrument. Depending on the quality of the material and elasticity, the nut can either improve or degrade the sound. Although the TUSQ nut is more costly and harder to work with, it is considered to deliver more balanced, clearer and smoother tones than plastic, corian or other materials.
ACCURATE AND STABLE TUNING
Each bass comes with either Hipshot Premium Bass Tuning machine heads (Hipshot American Classics or Ultralite) or GOTOH (made in Japan). Developed with accurate gear ratios, the machine heads are very reliable in tuning.
ELECTRONICS
High-quality premium Bass Pickups by High-end pickup builders Howard Ulyate with Bartolini electronics.
BRIDGE
This bass comes with a Custom Light Weight MM style Albridge parts Duralum bridge, with Bell Bronze saddles and extra-hard tension saddle springs to eliminate annoying parasitic rattles/vibrations coming from other types of bridges.
